The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty

2-
a)The story is about a man called Walter Mitty who constantly has daydreams.

b) In my opinion the story take place in Waterbury, because most of the characters he dreams with are from that place, and I think the story also takes place at nowadays because at some point, Mitty goes to shopping with his wife.

c) The connection I see between the illustration and the story is that the illustration represents how Walter Mitty avoids on his way the reality that sorrounds him as we can see on front the cover, with his head on the clouds but with his leg tied to the earth, so in some way he dreams but he can't leave the reality.

4-
a) The words that the author uses are "pocketa-pocketa-queep-pocketa-queep" and "rat-ta-tatting".

b) The author made them up by using existent words and adding more letters to them, in that way he created new words that recreates sounds of machines and cannons, and that without context are meaningless.

c) In my opinion he uses those words because he wants to immerse us more into the story by expressing sounds with the made up words.

d) The song is about a man who is in jail at Holland and his wife singing about her suffering, and in the song she describes the things that she would give as long as she could have him back.

5-
a) Breaking through.
b) A heavy skilled doctor.
c) Guilty as charged!
d) The last brandy.

7- In the first adventure I see a connection with the speed, the commander of the navy hydroplane is facing a big storm till Mitty's wife wakes him up, then at the moment he sees the hospital he starts to have a daydream about himself being a skilled surgeon, later on his lack of memory is evident so he starts testing his own memory on his daydream , and in the end of the story he sees the cover of the old copy of Liberty, so he starts to imagine himself being in the war.

8- All the characters that Mitty dreams with have confindence with themselfes, unlike Mitty himself that often forgets the things that his wife says or directly doesn't listen. Each character shows something that Walter Mitty lacks of, for example bravery, cunning and boldness.

9- The last paragraph it's the continuation of the last adventure told in the story because the author mentions that Mitty was about to face a firing squad, a clear nod to the trench war.

Follow Up
a) The movie is about a man called Walter Mitty who lives by his own and doesn't dare to talk to a woman at his workplace, the Life Magazine. He's a very retracted man and to be able to make up for that he often daydreams. One day his workplace will be in danger because of the lost photograph number twenty-five taken by an acclaimed photographer, so in order to keep his job he will embark on an adventure to find the photograph and the photographer.
